Fine-tuned for over 24 years, the process begins with an in-depth, on-site assessment of the client’s position specification, talent landscape, industry position, vision, and cultural environment. After extensive outreach to the market for active and passive talent, compelling candidates undergo a comprehensive interview process which encompasses five to ten hours of customized questions to ascertain a candidate’s ability to produce results within each client’s corporate culture and business life cycle. Once a candidate is aligned with a client’s specifications, comprehensive reference checking, license, designation, and degree verifications are conducted. This disciplined process leads to the perfect fit.

A frequent speaker and writer on talent management topics, Kathy Freeman Godfrey has contributed to articles found in Fundfire, Financial Planning, Family Wealth Report, Ignites, and Private Asset Management. Kathy has been on the podium or panels for various conferences including the IAA, Family Wealth Alliance, MMI Sales and Leadership Summit, and the Deals and Dealmakers Summit. She is also a member of the Partners Search Alliance, a consortium of CEOs of national, boutique, executive search firms dedicated to furthering best practices in retained search. Kathy Freeman Godfrey earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from California State University, Chico. She lives in San Luis Obispo, California with her husband and two children.
Chelsea O’Hara, Associate
Chelsea O’Hara joined Kathy Freeman Company in January, 2013. In addition to conducting searches at the firm, Ms. O’Hara leads all research and corporate marketing initiatives. She graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and a concentration in Marketing. She lives in the San Luis Obispo area, and in her spare time, enjoys going to concerts, gardening, and spending time with her two mastiffs, Tess & Ella.
Lindsay Mann, Research & Marketing Assistant
Lindsay Mann joined Kathy Freeman Company in January, 2017. Ms. Mann assists with research and marketing projects at the firm. She will graduate from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in June 2018 with a B.A. in Journalism, a Minor in Ethnic Studies, and a Minor in Psychology. In her spare time, Lindsay enjoys going to local beaches and exploring her new home on the Central Coast.
